Drive time made easy with digital displays & route management
In order to improve customer experience, SYD Airport wanted to provide customers with live travel time information to key destinations throughout Sydney - from both domestic and international terminals.
We partnered with The Core Agency, and designed and developed a robust, reliable and maintainable web application integrated with TomTom APIs enabling SYD Airport to easily define & display specific routes to customers on strategically located display panels in the terminals. The application also allowed SYD Airport to specify additional routes to capture historical data for ongoing analysis of travel times and traffic congestion.
Digital display & route management
Routes created are used for both the digital displays and data analysis. Route visualisation made it easy to create and modify existing routes, and inclues the ability to customise with multiple waypoints.
Display management allowed the flexible configuration of routes into groups to determine how they appear on the digital displays. We also added space for promotional images, announcements, and service messages.
